We were called out last week to Essex to inspect a flood damaged Syntec 6TA Controlled M200 diamond cutting lathe. The customer was already prepared to spend circa £30,000 on a new machine and didn't think it could be saved. Within a few hours the faulty parts were identified and tested. Water was found inside the AC contractor which had caused the 240-24v transformer to short to ground. We managed to source THE LAST remaining transformer in the UK and fit the part the following morning. This allowed the customer to carry on production with minimal disruption to their business and more importantly saved them £30,000 and a 4-6 week downtime!
